I believe that the key to health is understanding that the pursuit of better fitness and a stronger body is intricately connected to everything we do outside the gym. With more than a decade of experience in the fitness industry, I am a proven ambassador of holistic approaches to functional fitness, competitive Weightlifting, and overall wellness.

Health is not about working out and constant dieting.

Health is about optimizing performance by aligning your lifestyle, mindset, nutrition habits, and training.

I earned my Ph.D. from the University of South Florida, where I focused my research efforts on the psychosocial determinants of sport and exercise. Exercise, nutrition, and overall fitness must be considered within the context of the environment, resources, and personal attitudes. I created the OPTIMIZE STRENGTH FRAMEWORK™ to empower athletes through education and evidence-based practices to be the strongest version of themselves.

I am an extremely active person and I love challenging myself with new fitness endeavors. I train and compete in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting. I am known to be high energy and thrive in my ability to coach to the very best in others. I use my education and experiences to design evidence-based exercise and nutrition coaching programs that are tailored to meet the needs of the athlete. I believe that the biggest obstacles to optimizing performance are self-doubt, misinformation, and poor coaching. My mission is to change the narrative within the fitness industry and help women build confidence and strength through science with a whole lot of sass.
